Dakota is a beautiful 1 year old female Siberian Husky who went missing on the afternoon of March 30th 2012, in the Roodepoort/Honeydew area, after a member of staff left the garden gate open. Huskies are quite inquisitive by nature, so this was an opportunity to explore her new neighborhood and unfortunately her owners were not at home to assure this was done safely on her lead. Dakota had just arrived from Cape Town where she knew her surrounds quite well, so this was not her usual stomping grounds and you can imagine that she found all these new scents intriguing if not confusing for her. Dakota has not been known as a wanderer and she is an incredibly friendly pup who adores people and loves affection. Her owner Lalo is currently exhausting every means possible, from social media to print media, to flyers to search parties, to cash rewards and incentive prizes and has amazingly reunited quite a few missing Huskies with their owners who have now pledged their support in finding Dakota.
Dakota has her own FaceBook page, so please go and visit it for more information and to get to know Dakota better @ Dakota Botes. There you will be able to view more photographs and get involved in this heartwarming search for a pup that is loved with more heart that I have ever seen. I am currently developing this blog, so please keep coming back for new updates and information and if you can share this with as many people as you can, the closer Dakota is on being reunited with her Mom. You never know how being observant can be such a reward. Thank you..
